Nomad Lodge Layout Blinds

The Nomad Layout blind hunt is based out of a small farm town in North East South Dakota.  We hunt over a large migrator spread of full body decoys and an electronic call system.  

Nomad Package:   $275 per gun/day.  Maximum 6 people

Includes:  Fully guided snow goose hunt and lodging.  Most groups book 3 day hunts. Your group is responsible for your own transportation to the lodge and field we will be hunting.  Typically we will transport you and your gear into the field by four-wheeler trailer or sled.  

Lodging

 Large and cozy open living and dining rooms.  Games, TV and Wifi provided. Well equipped kitchen fully stocked with cookware.  

What to Bring

  • Waterproof bibs or pants, waterproof jacket.  (white or very light color camo outerwear if possible)
  • Warm high top waterproof boots
  • Light color camo beanie, and a white beanie. 
  • Headlamp, knife, and supplies for processing your birds.
  • Soft gun case, gun oil, we recommend three boxes of shells per day of at least 3″ BB-3 shot or whatever your personal preference is. 
  • Plugs are not required during the conservation season and magazine extensions are encouraged. 


Here are some things to keep in mind while you are packing for your hunt

Depending on the weather we usually hunt from daylight to 11 am and take a mid day break where you can get lunch and grab a nap before the evening hunt around 3 – 5 pm until dark.

Layout blinds have some storage space behind the back rest for a small bag/coat etc.  Layouts provide some protection from the elements but they are by no means “weatherproof.”  Spring season brings all sorts of elements from mud and sheet water to ice and snow.
